High-Performance Simplicity ● Pre-designed Residential Design

Rise House

Designed by Matt Burleigh ● Two Hammers Construction

Developed in collaboration with Two Hammers Construction, Rise House explores how barn-inspired forms and disciplined detailing can create homes that feel expansive, robust and quietly refined — without unnecessary complication.

Rooted in sustainable design principles, the project balances architectural clarity with buildable logic, delivering a high-performance home suited to regional Western Australia and the South West.

The material strategy is grounded in longevity and simplicity, favouring robust, low-maintenance systems suited to regional Western Australia. Durable external cladding and resilient construction assemblies form a restrained, agricultural-inspired shell, designed to weather gracefully over time.

Warmth is introduced sparingly — through selective timber elements that soften the barn form without compromising performance — resulting in a sustainable barn house in WA that feels both grounded and quietly refined.

Rise House is conceived as a flexible framework for sustainable living — a barn-inspired form designed to adapt over time without losing architectural clarity. Developed in collaboration with Two Hammers Construction, it is intentionally pre-designed to make architect-led, high-performance homes more accessible across regional Western Australia.

Available as a single-storey volume with optional double-height void, or as a mezzanine configuration with guest accommodation above, the design balances spatial drama with practical restraint. Prioritising passive solar principles, durability and comfort, Rise House offers a sustainable barn house in WA that grows with its occupants while maintaining a calm, coherent identity.
